Pigs ‘n a Blanket

Ohhh…I love pigs in a blanket, or as I like to call them, piggies!

The simple, original recipe that I got for these little guys is just lil’ smokies wrapped with canned biscuits…so I decided to experiment a little bit.  This time, I still used the lil’ smokies, but got some honey butter biscuits and sprinkled some parmesan on the biscuits before wrapping up the meat inside.  They were the first appetizers to disappear!

Piggies Recipe:

1 package lil’ smokies (40)

1 can honey butter canned biscuits

parmesan cheese (the kind you sprinkle on spaghetti)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and flatten out 1 biscuit at a time, cut into 4 pieces and shape into a rectangle.  A good size would be 1 1/2 inches wide, 3 inches long (approximate).  Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon parmesan cheese onto biscuit and pat evenly.  Roll up smokie in biscuit.  When all piggies are wrapped and ready to go, bake for about 12-13 minutes.
