This 2 layer 8 inch chocolate cake is covered in chocolate icing and decorations made out of…you guessed it, chocolate! A few employees at MSA (Medical Services of America) were celebrating their 5 year anniversary for being with the company.
For this cake, I went back to the basics, using my old method of starring the icing all over. Since the cake had minimal decorations, this technique was perfect for what I was doing. I used a chocolate mold to make the number 5, and mixed red with milk chocolate to get the garnet color. For the letters, a fondant mold was used because I really liked the two toned look. Time to celebrate and dig in! Who wants chocolate??
